Still Life has always captivated Pip because of its intimacy, directness and its symbolic power. 

Each painting is unique in its mood, palette and composition. Every painting is a study of intensity and intimacy into the inner and outer worlds of forms with their shadows, reflections and transparency. The energy of the paintings are created by expressive colour and the inventive brushstrokes that models and describes the forms. Some of her influences include Matisse, Van Gogh, Cezanne, Margaret Preston and Margaret Olley.
